Here is a sampling of the 150+ women who participated in the live study of James. I have so enjoyed reading these bits about you and prayed for you as I've read them. There are many needs among us. I pray that you will be blessed by knowing the widespread variety of women God has called to this same path at this same time. As you read, lift each other up in prayer before the Father! I would be willing to bet you can find someone here you have something in common with...

  • I am going through a very tough season and I depend on Jesus more and more every day. Every hour. I know he is faithful and I will come out of this even stronger and more wise.

  • I'm a mother of 3 boys 3 & under and have recently started a cake pop business from home so that I can stay at home during the days with my boys. I'm on a journey to not race through life and slow down and enjoy God in the stillness.

  • I am 38 years old. I work with adults with developmental disabilities full time. I believe that I am in the season of walking abundantly with God. Learning trying to persevere!

  • I need Him and He feels pretty far away.

  • I've been on my journey for some time, now. At the retreat last year I had my 'big moment' of accepting Christ's gift for us. This summer, I will be getting baptized! I'm pretty excited. But, I would like to get to know more in the Bible. It seems daunting to just dive in there, and, I have to admit, it reads a bit like Shakespeare or Chinese to me. I don't understand it. So, a Bible study would be great! Thanks!

  • I am currently living with my husband and son in Russia. We work with local churches here and are studying Russian full time. I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in an English bible study!

  • I have been privileged to grow up knowing about the Lord since I was born. It wasn't until college that I really started to desire to learn more about him. This all started because my teammate invited myself and other teammates over for Bible study, joined us going church, and hosted fun evenings playing games. Jesus used her as a pillar for all of us that attended. For that I am grateful. Another big part was my boyfriend at the time who is now my husband. His family loves the Lord and have helped me grow in my faith. God has really spoken to me in the last few years and I love learning more about him and his plans for me.

  • I'm a new mom. My son is 5 weeks old. My days are spent figuring out this crazy and wonderful journey of full-time motherhood.

  • My husband passed away just over a year ago. I need strength in His Word to keep on keeping on.

  • I'm a stay at home mom with three kids at home. Life is busy and it's a difficult season for finding time to get into the Word but I know that I can't do this season without it.

  • The last 2 years have been really hard on my family. I am extremely weary and continually need to be in the Word to give me strength and hope for each day.

  • I am a widow. I love the Lord and my family. God has been my strength through many situations. I assist my Pastor as the ladies minister. I have a good church home and am a part of the worship team. Singing praises to God is awesome!

  • I have been longing to do a Bible study for long time, but the Bible studies that my church offer are on days I'm unavailable. I think this will be great and I'm looking forward to it. Looking forward to learning and drawing closer to God.

  • After having served 21/2 years of my life serving together with my husband as pastor and pastor's wife in Canada, we have now returned to our home in SC in the US. There was no doubt that our time living in Canada was a time of pruning, stretching and growing unlike any other time in our 35 years of ministry. I now look back on our time there as a season, just as the season that I presently find myself. We are now serving in our 3rd interim pastorate since leaving Canada.

  • This is my season of caring for elderly family members. With the responsibility of their care, it has been difficult to make a commitment of participating in or leading a women's Bible study where I would have to be in attendance each week. Therefore, after seeing the opportunity to be involved in an online Bible study my interest was piqued. I absolutely have had a hunger to delve into God's word with other women, so thank you for this challenge. The exciting part for me is that of having one of my daughter-in-laws to also sign up for the study. I look forward to growing with you all.

  • I serve at church with my husband in worship. I have two sons. My mom is 89. She cannot read or write but she keeps a New Testament Bible under her pillow even in the hospital. God is good! Looking forward to study the Word.

  • We are in a new season of life in this new role, transitioning from the pastorate. Not being able to be a regular attender in the same church, I have been missing my women's Bible studies so much. I sense God may be leading me to start one at the Mission Center at some later time, but I need this now and am so glad you are offering it.

I met Jesus in my mid-thirties and “He redeemed my life from destruction and crowned me with loving-kindness and tender mercies" Psalm 103:4 (NKJV). And what an awesome journey it's been, mountain tops, valleys, and all!

  • I'm the wife of a church planter/pastor of a church in Calgary. Brand new mom to our first baby boy, and excited to be participating online from home and hopefully getting to know some more of you ladies a little through this study. I pray that they will come back to the Lord.

  • I'm a mom and wife. I also work full time doing home care so I guess you can say that I am a nurturer.

  • I was so excited to come across this! Working full time makes joining into Ladies' Bible Study Groups very difficult, so I am hoping that doing something online makes it a little easier. My spiritual journey has been up and down......struggles at times and mountain-tops at other times! As a now middle-aged grandmother, I feel that all I do at church is warm a chair on Sunday mornings. Looking forward to learning with you and other ladies!

  • I just finished my first year of university. My walk with Christ hasn't been the easiest or smoothest but amazing all at the same time! I am the only Christian in my family but have found amazing support and community to connect with and to hold me accountable. This year especially after meeting new people in school and pretty much re-creating my circle of friends I have grown to have some amazing relationships. I am so excited about this Bible study because just getting out of final season and jumping into summer I have found that I have been drifting from the path with God that I want to be on. I'm hoping this study will really help me and hold me accountable to not put my relationship with God on hold until it's a "good time" for me and to help me remember that He is with me every step of everyday.
