Journey Through James Session 6

I have mixed emotions as we are wrapping up our Journey Through James this morning. It's so exciting and humbling to see the dream that God put in our hearts come to fruition, and also slightly sad seeing the conclusion of the first chapter of this journey. Know that though I may not have seen your face throughout the study, I have prayed for you and been encouraged by your participation, and knowing that we have been getting into the Word together. God never ceases to amaze or surprise me. Amazing things happen when we meet with God in His Word! Last week I was reminded of the encouraging truth found in John 8:32. "And you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." I realized I had been missing a pretty crucial part of the truth as I've quoted only verse 32 on many occasions. The verse preceding it in John 8:31 says, "So Jesus said to the Jews who believed him, 'If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples. And you will know the truth...."You know the rest. :)

The invitation remains every single day (even if we didn't accept it the day before.) He invites us to believe Him and continue in His Word. Then, the beautiful promise follows.  And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

I trust that God has revealed much truth to you throughout this study. I pray that you will continue in His word this summer and will walk in the expensive, glorious freedom that Jesus gave his life for.  Thank you so much for joining us on this Journey Through James!

God bless,
