Welcome back to week 3 of Journey Through James. Can you believe we're almost to the halfway mark? It's been such a delight to hear from some of you in the forum, through a message of Facebook or even in person about how you've been experiencing God as you've gotten into the Word. If you've fallen behind, don't be discouraged! He is always ready and willing to meet with you whether it's been a few hours, days, or weeks since you last spoke. I am praying that God gives you a spirit of endurance to get over the halfway mark this week and stick with it. Life is pulling us in all different kinds of directions. I'll confess, this past week was a bit crazy and I wasn't as intentional about anchoring myself in the Word first thing in the morning as I needed to be. It was as if my peace, joy, security and contentment were blown and tossed by the wind of the day . Not a good start but thankfully, He is forgiving, good and abounding in love. I can always get back on His path. I'm learning that spiritual maturity God is trying to develop in me doesn't necessarily mean I never need to u-turn. It means I realize a quick u-turn is far better than a meander down the wrong path.
"We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive." (C.S. Lewis)
If you find yourself on a path you didn't mean to be on this week- whether behind in your study, flustered from the demands of your season, or just flat out heading somewhere you know you have no business going, just stop. Ask God to pick you up and put you back on the path you need to be on. If you find yourself on a path where you're hungering and thirsting to know Him more and to be in the Word, take a moment to thank Him. In either case, breathe in his grace, and thank Him for another stepping stone on the path to maturity.
I pray that we both make it a priority to anchor our hearts and minds in the Word!

Late to the Party...
I think I've figured out a way to get the "About You" info posted in a more interactive way. I would invite you to visit the "About You" page and click on your age category. From there leave a little bit about yourself in the comment section (it will read "Sign Guestbook." This was you can see who may be participating and encourage one another!
